1. Autumn Nights at Fort Yargo
- When and where: 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, and Saturday, Oct. 29 at Fort Yargo State Park
- Why go: To take part in spooky, haunted hayrides, carnival games, competitions for prizes, mini-golf and more
- Cost: $5 for parking and $1 to $10 for activities
- When and where: 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, and Saturday, Oct. 29, and 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30 at the Winder Cultural Arts Center
- Why go: To watch a Victorian horror story unfold on the stage of the Colleen O. Williams Theater and give back to the community — a portion of proceeds from ticket sales for this show will be donated to the Piedmont Rape Crisis Center
- Cost: $12.50 for adults and $10 for seniors 55 and older, teachers and students in advance, and $15 for adults and $13 for seniors, teachers and students at the door
- When and where: 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at Winder Wesleyan Church
- Why go: To get in costume and safely visit candy-filled trunks while enjoying food, fun and fellowship
- Cost: Free to attend
4. Halloween Open Mic
- When and where: 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at 106 West Music School, Supplies and Performing Arts
- Why go: To enjoy acoustic musicians, poets, actors, comedians sharing their favorite scary stuff and more
- Cost: $5 per person or $20 per family
5. Second annual Spiderweb Spooktacular
- When and where: 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at R. H. Burel Park in Auburn
- Why go: To celebrate Halloween with free candy, crafts and games, then stick around for Movies in the Park, featuring a showing of Hocus Pocus
- Cost: Free to attend, while concessions will be available for purchase
