Tripp Halstead, a two-year-old from Barrow County, was injured on Monday, Oct. 29 when a tree limb fell at the Winder daycare center he attended and struck him in the head. Halstead was flown to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston where he currently remains in critical condition.

According to a public Facebook page, Halstead has undergone brain surgery and his family and friends are praying for his recovery.  A donation fund for the family has been set up through PNC banks and contributions can be made at any branch as well as online to the Tripp H. Halstead Fund.
