Department of Natural Resources' Weekly Law Enforcement Report for Nov. 18-24 Includes Two Barrow Incidents

Citations were issued in two separate incidents on Nov. 23 and 24.

 

The following are incidents that occurred in Barrow County that were included in the Georgia Department of Natural Resources' Weekly Law Enforcement Report for Nov. 18-24. 

  • On Nov. 23, RFC Mark Stephens received a call in reference to someone hunting without permission in Barrow County. Stephens arrived at the location and observed a recently-shot, whitetail deer in the suspect’s driveway. After an investigation, the individual was issued citations for hunting big game over bait, possession of illegally taken wildlife and failure to record deer harvest. A warrant was later issued for the invidual's arrest for possession of a firearm by convicted felon.
  • On Nov. 24, Stephens was patrolling Barrow County near Union Grove Church Road and encountered three hunters. Each hunter was issued citations and warnings for hunting big game over bait and hunting deer without fluorescent orange.

So I guess your going to pay for the damage these nuisance deer do to our cars on the road or forgive slow driving to look out for them on the road.
