Two of the eight retailers on DailyFinance's list have locations in Barrow County.
According to a DailyFinance.com report, sales for U.S. retailers are so bad it's not a question of whether they will close stores, but when and how many.
With that in mind, the report predicts the eight retailers that will close the most stores in 2013. Two of those retailers have locations in Barrow County but it is not known whether those stores are on the chopping block.
- Best Buy
- Sears Holding (Kmart and Sears stores)
- J.C. Penney
- Office Depot
- Barnes & Noble

The RadioShack in Winder has always provided great service and prices when I needed a cable on short notice. The computer shop in the back is good too. I doubt it'll close.
As for GameStop, I don't have the highest opinion of the company, but I don't know if the local store is an exception. I've never seen the point in it. You get better value for your old games than GameStop will ever give by selling them on Craigslist or ebay.
And games are such a low margin thing that they can't offer a better deal than online retailers for new games, and the profit center of accessories is still cheaper online or at the Wal Mart next door.

Thanks for posting! I know I don't want to see Barrow County lose any businesses.
