Dad's Work Truck Runs Over Son

The 4-year-old Auburn, Ga., boy died after slipping off the vehicle, according to news reports.

 

A work truck coasting backward in neutral gear crushed a 4-year-old boy who slipped while riding on its passenger side bumper, WSB Radio reports.

The boy and his 7-year-old brother had been riding the six-wheel truck after repeatedly asking their father to let them, Gordy Wright of the Georgia State Patrol told the radio station.

The accident occurred about 6:50 p.m. Monday at the Mount Moriah Apartments.

No charges were expected, according to media reports.
