Congratulations to Beverly Amoah, Barrow County Schools' Spelling Bee Champion

The spelling bee, held Friday, Feb. 1, lasted 15 rounds before the Kennedy Elementary School fifth grader was named the winner after correctly spelling the word paucity.

Beverly Amoah, a fifth grader at Kennedy Elementary School, will represent the Barrow County School System at the District 3 spelling bee competition Saturday, Feb. 23 at North Gwinnett High School in Suwanee. 

Daniel Londono, a fourth-grade student at Bramlett Elementary School, was named runner-up and will compete in the district spelling bee if Beverly is unable to attend.
