Vehicle Painted 'Georgia Tech Gold' Reported Stolen

The owner told a deputy the vehicle color was the exact match to the color used by Georgia Tech on its equipment.

It's possible the thief wasn't a Georgia Tech fan or maybe the thief was a fan ...

An Auburn resident recently reported that his 1967 Dodge D100 pickup truck was stolen. The owner told a deputy with the Barrow County Sheriff's Office the vehicle was Georgia Tech gold in color, with a white top, white front and rear bumper and white grill. The truck also had two Georgia Tech flags on each window.

"He further stated on the back glass was two 'bulldog' stickers with a line through it and a 'Georgia Tech' sticker in the middle back glass," the deputy wrote in an incident report.

The vehicle was valued at $10,000, and the owner said he couldn't think of any possible suspects.
