Campaigning Not Just for Those Old Enough to Vote
Despite chilly temperatures, Winder sisters stood outside a Barrow County polling location holding a sign in support of a candidate for Barrow County sheriff.
Meg Folsom danced around outside the Winder Community Center — one of several polling locations in Barrow County — on Election Day holding a sign in support of her uncle.
Meg, who will celebrate her 10th birthday Wednesday, was joined by her sister, 16-year-old Courtney Jane Folsom.
"We're showing our support 'cause we can't vote," Courtney Jane said.
The sisters are nieces of Jud Smith, incumbent candidate for the office of Barrow County sheriff.
