A local venue is soliciting talent for an upcoming open mic night. 

106 West Music School, Supplies and Performing Arts Venue in Winder invites musicians, poets, comedians and actors to take the venue's stage beginning at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24, to perform up to two original, acoustic songs or seven minutes of original work.

To sign up to perform, call 770-868-1977 or e-mail beckytollerson@106west.com by Wednesday, Aug. 22. Performers' admission is free, while audience admission is $5, and all ages are welcome.
