Barrow Weather Watch for Sunday, July 8, 2012

Temperatures are expected to fall next week.

 

Today's forecast: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 11 a.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 96. Heat index values as high as 101. West wind about 5 mph.

Tonight's forecast: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a low about 72. West wind about 5 mph becoming calm after midnight.

  • Health advisory:  Air is more likely to be unhealthy for more people. Children, people who are sensitive to ozone and people with heart or lung disease should limit prolonged outdoor exertion during the late afternoon or early evening when ozone levels are highest.
