The Barrow County Chamber of Commerce will host the second of three informational meetings on TSPLOST, a special purpose local-option sales tax geared toward a region’s transportation needs. The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. today in the Auburn City Council Meeting Room.

If passed, the 2012 TSPLOST bill is expected to generate more than $18 billion statewide over a 10-year period from a one cent sales tax for the purpose of tackling a laundry list of transportation projects, including intersection and road improvements right here in Barrow County.
