Barrow County Sheriff's Office Continues Search for Missing Inmate into Night
The department plans to search around the clock and are following up with leads.
Deputies with the Barrow County's Sheriff's Office are still actively searching for an inmate who walked away from an inmate work detail crew Monday afternoon.
The inmate is identified as Ross Eugene Hilmo. He is a white male, 5'10" and weights about 180 pounds. He has brown hair and a slight beard. He was in custody for the sale of narcotics at the time. He was last seen wearing an orange Barrow County inmate jumpsuit and black boots. He did not have any weapons when he walked away from the detail.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of this inmate is asked to call 911.
According to docket book information, Hilmo was arrested in August and charged with the sale of a schedule I or II controlled substance. He was previously arrested in May and charged with failure to appear and in November 2011, charged with driving without a valid license and failure to maintain lane.
