Barrow County Schools Announce Teacher of the Year
A Winder-Barrow High School science teacher has received the school system's honor.
Winder-Barrow High School science teacher Brandon Mitchell has been named the 2013 Teacher of the Year by Barrow County Schools.
Other finalists for the annual system-wide honor were:
- Kay Holloway — Bethlehem Elementary School
- Trey Neupert — Russell Middle School
- Libby Myers — CPA/PLC
Teachers of the year for the remaining Barrow County schools were:
- Yasmeen Pollock — Auburn Elementary School
- Val Hyde — Bramlett Elementary School
- Alicia Bates — County Line Elementary School
- Jan Moore — Holsenbeck Elementary School
- Natalie Horne — Kennedy Elementary School
- Kristen Elrod — Statham Elementary School
- Pam Rogan — Yargo Elementary School
- Charlotte Land — Haymon-Morris Middle School
- Audrey Smith — Westside Middle School
- Julie Rutledge — Winder-Barrow Middle School
- William Harrell — Apalachee High School
