The Northeast Health District reports the following health inspection scores for Barrow County.

Critical violation: 

Violation of: 2-1C. No bare hand contact with ready-to-eat foods (Employee was observed handling sliced cheese with care hands. Corrected on site by instructing employee to discard cheese, wash hands and don gloves. 

Non-critical violation: 

Violation of: 14A. In-use utensils: properly stored (Scoops in bulk products have no handles.) 

Apalachee High School, 940 Haymon-Morris Road, Winder
Score: 96
Date of routine inspection: Feb. 20, 2013

Non-critical violations:

• Violation of: 2-2B. Proper eating, tasting, drinking, or tobacco use (Employee drink cup stored on shelf in dry storage without lid. Advised management that all drink cups must be single service cups with lids and straw and stored away from food prep or food storage area.) 
• Violation of: 2-2D. Adequate handwashing facilities supplied & accessible (No paper towels provided at hand sink at rear of kitchen area. Corrected on site by restocking dispenser.)
