Cobb Police Kill Armed Naked Man – East Cobb Patch
A Cobb County police officer fatally shot a naked man wielding a weapon at an East Cobb apartment complex Tuesday night.
The man has been identified as Tendai Nhekairo, 18, a Campbell High senior who lived in the apartment complex.
The officer involved in the shooting has been placed on administrative leave while the investigation continues, police spokesman Sgt. Dana Pierce said.
Pierce said the teen wielded two knives when he threatened the officers.
Arrest Made in Macland Road Murder Case – Dallas-Hiram Patch
An 18-year-old Marietta man has been charged in connection with a homicide that occurred late Wednesday on Macland Road near Covington Drive.
Tony Lee Grant Jr. has been charged with the murder of 23-year-old Jefferson Joseph of Hiram. According to a Paulding County Sheriff’s Office news release, Joseph was shot in the chest during a fight just after 11 p.m. Wednesday. He was taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta where he succumbed to his injuries later in the evening.
Woman Leaps to Death in Buckhead – Buckhead Patch
A woman apparently leaped to her death early Wednesday afternoon in Buckhead, according to Atlanta police spokesman Carlos Campos.
Campos said officers responded to a suicide call at around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday and discovered the 25-year-old woman lying dead on the cement walkway leading up to Peachtree Grand condos at 3338 Peachtree Road.
The preliminary investigation said the victim jumped from the 28th floor of the high-rise building.
