Car Cut in Half After Hitting Trees, Driver Critical — Canton-Sixes Patch
Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services responded to a single vehicle accident on Friday afternoon on Georgia Highway 372, east of Ball Ground, near the Etowah River Bridge.
Emergency service personnel received the call shortly after 5:30 p.m. and responded to the scene of the accident. The accident involved a Ford Mustang that had apparently left the road, went down an embankment and struck some trees. Upon impact, the car was cut in half, ejecting the driver from the vehicle.

Man Tells Suwannee Police He ‘Accidentally Shot Wife in Head’ — Suwanee Patch
Suwanee Police are investigating a fatal shooting from last week in which a man said he "accidentally shot his wife in the head" in their Riverview Run Lane home.
According to police records, a man identified as Steven Thomas told police dispatch about the incident; officers responded on Oct. 10 about 3 a.m.
The deceased woman is identified as Charissa Thomas; officers found her lying face up at the top of the staircase, with a gun positioned between her legs and a cell phone next to her body.

Fight Breaks Out at IHOP — Oconee Patch
A fight broke out early Sunday morning at IHOP on Parkway Place, resulting in numerous injuries and property damage.
According to witness accounts and surveillance video footage, one group of customers began to insult another group, who were wearing cowboy hats. The argument then escalated into pushing, hitting, and the throwing of furniture.
