Looking for a pet? Plan on attending the Home-a-Thon Adoption Event at the Petco in Duluth on Saturday, Nov. 3 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Over 20 percent of animals available were adopted when this event was last held and this year the hope is that 30 percent of pets will find new homes. Pets available at the event will be from various local animal shelters and rescue organizations including Save-a-Litter, Ginny Millner Foundation, Angels Among Us Pet Rescue, FurKids Inc., Colbert Veterinary, Bullseye Rescue and Adopt a Greyhound Atlanta.

The event will take place at 2131 Pleasant Hill Road in Duluth.
